Hyundai IONIQ 9

Hyundai Motor America has revealed the pricing and key features of the all-new 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9, a premium three-row electric SUV designed for modern families. Offering over 300 miles of all-electric range across all trim levels, seamless compatibility with Tesla Superchargers, and a spacious, upscale cabin, the IONIQ 9 is Hyundai’s most advanced electric SUV to date.

Premium Electric Performance and Range

The 2026 IONIQ 9 lineup delivers strong performance and long range, making it suitable for daily commutes and long road trips alike. The base model, the IONIQ 9 RWD S, starts at $58,955 (excluding $1,600 freight charge) and is powered by a 160-kW (215-horsepower) electric motor. It delivers an EPA-estimated 335 miles of driving range, making it one of the most efficient three-row electric SUVs in its class.

For enhanced performance and traction, Hyundai offers several dual-motor all-wheel-drive models. The IONIQ 9 AWD SE and AWD SEL both feature 226.1-kW (303-horsepower) systems and provide 320 miles of range. The SE is priced from $62,765, while the SEL starts at $66,320.

High-Performance AWD Models

The upper tier of the IONIQ 9 range includes three AWD Performance variants that deliver 314.6 kW (422 horsepower) and 311 miles of range. The Performance Limited model starts at $71,250, while the Performance Calligraphy, with exclusive interior and exterior finishes, begins at $74,990. The top-tier Performance Calligraphy Design adds matte paint and 21-inch turbine wheels, with a starting price of $76,490.

Built-In NACS Port for Tesla Supercharger Access

The IONIQ 9 is one of the first non-Tesla EVs to feature a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. This integration allows IONIQ 9 drivers to access Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network without the need for a third-party adapter.

Hyundai also includes adapters for compatibility with CCS fast-charging stations and Level 2 home charging units, providing drivers with more flexibility on where and how they charge.

Charging Incentives Through Hyundai Home

All new 2026 IONIQ 9 customers are eligible for a special charging offer. Buyers can choose either a ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger or a $400 public charging credit. The charger is available through the Hyundai Home Marketplace, which also provides access to professional installation services (installation cost required to redeem the charger offer).

Those who opt for the $400 credit can use it through the ChargePoint mobile app at thousands of public charging stations nationwide.

Built in America and Tax Credit Eligible

All U.S. models of the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 will be built at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) in Bryan County, Georgia. This domestic production qualifies the IONIQ 9 for the full $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit, making it even more accessible for American families looking to go electric.

Designed for Families, Engineered for the Future

According to Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, “IONIQ 9 features a beautifully executed cabin that offers the space that families need and the features and premium finishes that they desire. With impressive charging speeds and a full suite of active safety features, IONIQ 9 is a no-compromises family SUV that just happens to be electric.”
