The compact SUV segment is about to get hotter—Hyundai’s second-generation Venue (codenamed QU2i) has been caught undisguised by Instagram user @casper_i.vory, ahead of its Indonesia/India launch, giving us a full look at its design, feature upgrades, and what to expect under the hood. Slated for release around late 2025 / early 2026, this major generational update aims to push the Venue into a more premium, tech-rich territory.

Exterior Redesign: Bolder, Sharper, More Modern

From the spy shots, the new Venue presents a fresh exterior that fuses Hyundai’s current SUV styling cues with rugged, urban sensibilities. Key visible changes include:

  • A wider, squarer grille with horizontal slats, inspired by Hyundai’s Creta and Alcazar models, giving a more aggressive front fascia.
  • Vertically stacked LED headlamps with slim DRL strips integrated near the bonnet line.
  • A silver skid plate on the lower bumper and rugged cladding around the wheel arches for a more SUV-inspired stance.
  • New alloy wheel designs (around 16-inch), redesigned tailgate and bumper, connected LED taillights, a shark-fin antenna (black finish instead of body color), and more sculpted tail styling.

Though the overall silhouette remains boxy, upright, and compact (key traits of the Venue’s identity), these updates push it into a more premium aesthetic.

Interior Upgrades: Tech and Comfort Get a Major Boost

The unseen side of many spy photos is now very visible. The second-generation Venue is getting not just a cosmetic refresh inside but also significant feature upgrades:

  • Dual curved display setup combining a ~10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, similar to what we see in larger Hyundai models (Creta, Alcazar).
  • Redesigned dashboard with under-screen air vents; horizontal HVAC controls with physical buttons (a shift from rotary knobs).
  • Premium materials, better upholstery, ambient lighting, and a subwoofer in the cabin.
  • Additional creature comforts expected: ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone connectivity. Higher trims may offer Level-2 ADAS features, front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, etc.

Launch Timing & Other Details

  • The new Venue is expected to make its India debut in November 2025
  • Global release likely around late 2025 / early 2026.
  • Hyundai’s strategy seems to include emphasizing interior tech, overall safety, and design differentiation, aligning the Venue more with their newer SUVs.
