“Hyundai closed 2025 on a high note, achieving our fifth straight year of record retail sales, what we called our ‘5 for 5 in 2025’ mission, along with delivering best-ever December totals and retail sales,” said Parker. “Our diverse lineup, spanning advanced electrified vehicles and award-winning SUVs, continues to set the standard for innovation, efficiency, and value.”
December 2025 Sales Highlights: Hybrids and SUVs Lead Growth
Hyundai’s hybrid vehicle lineup delivered exceptional performance in December, with total hybrid sales surging 71% year-over-year, setting a new all-time monthly record. Key hybrid models driving this growth included:
- Hyundai Elantra Hybrid
- Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
- Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
- Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
- Hyundai Palisade Hybrid
Hyundai’s core SUV lineup also remained a major growth driver. Combined sales of the Tucson, Santa Fe, and Palisade rose sharply, with:

- Total SUV sales up 10%
