Hyundai N Hyper Charger Nürburgring

Hyundai Motor Company has officially inaugurated the N Hyper Charger Nürburgring, a dedicated high-speed charging station for electric vehicles located at the heart of Germany’s legendary Nordschleife circuit. Announced on March 16, 2026, this move reinforces the “Hyundai N” performance brand’s commitment to the electric era.

The charging station is strategically positioned at the Tourist Drive entrance parking lot. This location allows EV enthusiasts to power up immediately before or after tackling “The Green Hell,” widely considered the world’s most demanding race track.

Charging Performance and Specs

The N Hyper Charger is designed to meet the high-voltage demands of performance EVs. By providing a reliable, high-speed infrastructure, Hyundai ensures that drivers can enjoy the full potential of their vehicles on the track without range or power delivery anxiety.

Exclusive Benefits for Hyundai N Owners

While the station is open to all EV brands during its pilot phase starting this month, Hyundai is rolling out exclusive perks for its N community:

  • Free Charging: Starting in April, IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N owners using the “Charge myHyundai” app in Europe will receive free charging at this specific location.
  • Global Ecosystem: This is Hyundai’s second dedicated N charging hub. The first was established at Inje Speedium in South Korea in 2023. Hyundai plans to extend free charging benefits to IONIQ 6 N owners in Korea by the first half of 2026.

Expanding the High-Performance EV Ecosystem

The launch of the N Hyper Charger is a core part of Hyundai’s “Performance for All” mission. By building infrastructure at the world’s most iconic motorsport landmarks, the company is bridging the gap between daily usability and track-ready performance.

Park Joon-woo, Vice President of N Brand Management Group, emphasized the vision behind the project:

”We built the N Hyper Charger to create an ecosystem where high-performance electric experiences can be enjoyed to the fullest on the track. We want automotive fans at the Nürburgring to run the ‘Green Hell’ without charging concerns.”

Future Outlook

As the automotive industry shifts toward electrification, Hyundai N continues to lead by proving that driving pleasure and sustainable technology are not mutually exclusive. The 10-year commitment to the Nürburgring facility ensures that the next generation of petrolheads—and “electron-heads”—will have a home at the track.
