A Direct Engineering Collaboration
The inclusion of the GMR-001 isn’t just a visual skin; it is the result of intensive technical cooperation between Genesis Magma Racing and Motorsport Games. By working directly with the official developers of Le Mans Ultimate, Genesis engineers ensured the virtual car mirrors its real-world counterpart with pinpoint accuracy.
- Design Accuracy: The in-game model was built using Genesis’ own CAD renderings.
- Technical Data: Engineers provided telemetry data covering suspension geometry, aerodynamic balance, and gear ratios.
- Sonic Realism: The roar of the G8MR 3.2l Turbo V8 engine was captured during recent private development tests to provide an authentic acoustic experience.
The car features the striking #17 “liquid-metal” livery, complete with the traditional Korean hangeul lettering for “Magma” (마그마).
Le Mans Ultimate V1.3 Update: What’s New?
The GMR-001 Hypercar arrives as the centerpiece of the V1.3 Update, which brings a wealth of new content to the platform:
- Free Content: The GMR-001 is available now at no cost to all players.
- ELMS Integration: New European Le Mans Series content, including the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya(available via DLC).
- Localization: In a nod to Genesis’ heritage, the game now supports a full Korean translation, celebrating the first South Korean manufacturer to enter the top tier of endurance racing.
The “GMR Sim to Sim” Contest: Win a Trip to France
To celebrate the launch, Genesis Magma Racing is offering a “money-can’t-buy” prize through the GMR Sim to Simcompetition. From March 31 to April 7, players can participate in Silver Daily Races at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The Challenge
Drivers must navigate a grueling 45-minute race featuring:
- Dynamic Ardennes weather conditions.
- Custom fuel usage and tire wear parameters designed to test strategic depth.
- A global leaderboard tracking the fastest lap times across all splits.
The Prize
The five fastest drivers (aged 18+) will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Genesis Magma Racing workshop in Le Castellet, France. Winners will tour the facility and jump into the team’s Dynisma simulator—an F1-bred piece of hardware used for professional driver development.
From Sim to Reality: Dani Juncadella’s Take
Factory driver Dani Juncadella, a veteran of elite sim racing teams like Team Redline and Verstappen Sim Racing, is championing the crossover.
“To have the GMR-001 Hypercar included in the game before our first race is very exciting,” said Juncadella. “The top sim racers are so talented and dedicated… the fact that they will get to experience our sim will be a great moment for them. Something like that can open chances for the future.”
Juncadella will be on-site at Le Castellet to provide professional coaching to the winners, bridging the gap between virtual mastery and professional motorsport engineering.
