Freshly released photos of the Genesis G90 Wingback Concept offer the clearest and most dramatic look yet at how the brand plans to evolve its flagship sedan into a new era of luxury high performance. Debuting during the company’s 10th-anniversary celebration, these new images highlight the concept’s reimagined proportions, sharper aerodynamic elements, refined Magma design and first-ever interior photos. From the sculpted front fascia to the elegantly extended roofline and grand tourer-inspired rear treatment, the new photo set underscores just how significantly Genesis has transformed its flagship while preserving its aristocratic character.
A Vision Driven by Design Leadership
Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke personally drove the G90 Wingback Concept during its reveal, underlining how deeply rooted this project is in Genesis’ creative identity. While unmistakably connected to the production G90, the Wingback Concept incorporates intensified Magma design cues that signal individuality, craftsmanship, and high-performance intent.
Described by Donckerwolke as a “bridge between Magma and the One of One bespoke program,” the concept showcases just how far Genesis can push its flagship when imagination meets engineering discipline.

The Concept: Familiar Foundations, Astonishing Expression
Built on an unmodified G90 platform with a 3.2-meter wheelbase and 5.1-meter overall length, the Wingback Concept starts with familiar proportions but reinterprets them through a more dramatic design lens. Signature Genesis elements — the Crest Grille, Parabolic Line, and Two-Line headlamps — appear sharper, bolder, and more assertive.
Donckerwolke emphasized the shifting automotive landscape, pointing to the oversaturation of SUVs and hinting at a renewed appetite for alternative body styles. The G90 Wingback Concept represents that shift, projecting both luxury and athleticism in a single, seamless statement.
A More Purposeful, Performance-Focused Exterior
At the front, the concept wears a more sculpted bumper carrying the Magma badge, while enlarged lower air intakes and side canards communicate serious aerodynamic intent. Flared wheel arches house custom 22-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, giving the sedan a wider, road-hugging stance.
In profile, the transformation becomes even more dramatic. The roofline stretches elegantly, reshaping the G90 into a grand tourer-inspired wagon silhouette that radiates sophistication. At the rear, the traditional trunk is replaced with a tailgate featuring a sharply raked window, dual spoilers, and a performance-oriented rear diffuser.
This is the G90 as it has never been seen before — confident, streamlined, and majestically athletic.
A Design Language Beyond Color
Finished in a deep, understated green, the G90 Wingback Concept demonstrates that Magma is not limited to its visually iconic orange hue. Instead, Magma is a design ethos that expresses a Korean-rooted view of balance, respect, and quiet confidence.
As Donckerwolke explained, Magma doesn’t rely on aggressive posturing. It remains powerful yet composed, rewarding rather than overwhelming. It is luxury high performance refined to its most harmonious state.

A Cabin Where Luxury and Performance Coexist
Inside, the G90 Wingback Concept continues its sophisticated reinterpretation with lush quilted Chamude seating and door panels. Subtle green Magma stitching and detailing appear throughout the cabin — on the seats, wheel, dash, and console. The seats feature an embroidered Magma logo, a constant reminder of the performance potential lying beneath the surface.
The interior embodies the dual nature of the Magma philosophy: elegant craftsmanship paired with unmistakable potency.
A Broader Future for Magma
The G90 Wingback Concept is more than a design exercise; it’s a window into the expanded future of the Genesis Magma program. According to Donckerwolke, the brand intends to develop a wide spectrum of high-performance models, including sports cars, coupes, and convertibles — all united by the signature Magma balance of power and control.
These vehicles will embody what Donckerwolke describes as “the materialization of the iron fist in a velvet glove.”
A Decade of Progress, A New Chapter Ahead
The G90 Wingback Concept stands as a testament to ten years of rapid innovation from Genesis. It pushes the boundaries of what the brand’s flagship can be, bridging luxury and performance in a form that feels both familiar and daringly new.
More than a showpiece, it represents the next chapter of Magma and the broader Genesis design journey. Bold, balanced, and emotionally resonant, the G90 Wingback Concept is a glimpse into a future where Korean luxury reaches new heights.
