Hyundai Motor Company is set to unveil its upcoming IONIQ Concept THREE, which will turn into the IONIQ 3 production model sometime in the first half of 2026. We tried to mix the teasers to create a full image of the vehicle using Google’s Gemini Nano Banana, and thanks to our colleagues at GotchaCars, who have worked from that idea to create these awesome renderings. What do you think?
A New Era for Hyundai’s IONIQ Sub-Brand
Following last week’s initial teaser campaign, Hyundai has officially confirmed the model’s name: Concept THREE. As the newest addition to the IONIQ lineup, the concept introduces an innovative design direction, showcasing Hyundai’s vision for the next generation of urban-friendly, compact EVs.
Futuristic Design with the “Art of Steel” Philosophy
The new teaser image highlights Concept THREE’s bold side profile, defined by Hyundai’s Art of Steel design philosophy. Inspired by the natural flow of bending steel, the body features:
- Sculpted surfaces and clean intersections
- Dynamic character lines emphasizing precision and movement
- A sleek, forward-looking stance that balances sportiness with practicality
Most notably, Concept THREE debuts the Aero Hatch – a fresh typology that reimagines the traditional compact EV silhouette. This design evolution combines aerodynamics with expressive proportions, giving the model a distinct identity within the IONIQ range.

Hyundai’s Commitment to the European Market
Hyundai’s return to IAA Mobility 2025 after four years highlights its commitment to sustainable innovation and the European EV market. As Europe’s largest mobility showcase, IAA provides the perfect stage for Hyundai to reinforce its EV leadership and preview its next wave of electrified solutions.
Designers’ Insights on Concept THREE
“Designing the Concept THREE was an opportunity for us to rethink the compact EV from the ground up,” said Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center. “We defined the ‘Aero Hatch’ typology to craft a silhouette that captures a sense of flow and becomes a beautifully proportioned sculpture.”
Exterior designer Manuel Schoettle added: “The authenticity of the way we treated the steel fits perfectly. It just felt natural, making the Concept THREE extremely pure, and hopefully it will bring a smile to your face.”
What to Expect at IAA Mobility 2025
During the IAA Open Space, Hyundai will showcase Concept THREE in detail, offering attendees an immersive look at how the vehicle is set to redefine the compact EV segment. More information about its features, technology, and market positioning will be revealed at Hyundai’s official press conference on September 9.
