Hyundai Seeks Continued TCR Dominance at Sebring After Historic Daytona Win

Following a landmark victory at the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) season opener in Daytona, Hyundai Motor America (HMA) is shifting its focus to the legendary bumps of Sebring International Raceway. As the team prepares for the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 from March 18-20, the goal is clear: maintain the championship lead and extend a staggering six-year podium streak at one of North America’s most grueling circuits.

A Legacy of Success at Sebring

Sebring’s 3.74-mile, 17-turn road course is notoriously unforgiving, yet it has become a stronghold for the Hyundai Elantra N TCR. The brand’s recent track record at the Florida venue includes:

  • 2025: Race Victory
  • 2023 & 2024: Back-to-back double-podium finishes
  • Active Streak: Six consecutive years on the Sebring podium

Recapping the Daytona Triumph

The 2026 season began with a statement of intent at Daytona International Speedway. Denis Dupont and Preston Brown, piloting the No. 76 Elantra N TCR for Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA), staged a late-race charge to secure the four-hour endurance victory.

The podium was a “sea of blue,” with the No. 33 Elantra N TCR (driven by Mason Filippi, Bryson Morris, and Josh Buchan) taking third after leading a race-high 58 laps. The No. 98 Elantra rounded out a dominant team performance with a fourth-place finish, proving the Elantra N TCR’s resilience against contact and mechanical hurdles.

The 2026 Lineup for the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120

Heading into the 120-minute sprint at Sebring, Hyundai and BHA field a powerhouse four-car entry, supported by the Rockwell Autosport Development team.

Driving for a Cause: Hyundai Hope On Wheels

The 2026 season marks the third year of Hyundai’s commitment to fighting pediatric cancer through racing. For every lap led by a Hyundai vehicle, Hyundai Hope On Wheels donates $100 to a local hospital.

After a dominant performance at Daytona, the initiative has already raised $11,400 this season. For the Sebring round, the proceeds will benefit the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital.
