Hyundai Motor Company is taking electric adventure to a new level with the debut of its IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept at the 2025 SEMA Show. Co-designed with automotive personalities Jeremiah Burton and Zach Jobe, founders of the popular content brand BigTime, this rugged version of Hyundai’s all-electric SUV blends next-generation electric performance with head-turning off-road styling.
The IONIQ 9 BigTime Concept will be showcased in SEMA’s Future Tech Studio, a special exhibit inside the Central Hall dedicated to cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies and future mobility innovations.
Built for Adventure: Design and Performance Highlights
The Hyundai IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept stands out with a lifted suspension, custom-designed wheels, and aggressive all-terrain tires for maximum grip and capability. A bespoke auxiliary light bar and unique exterior details reinforce the SUV’s rugged, adventure-ready look.
Under the hood, the IONIQ 9 Calligraphy AWD variant delivers electrifying performance — up to 422 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque — making it one of the most powerful and capable electric SUVs in its class.
“Hyundai is proud to present the innovative IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept developed by BigTime at the 2025 SEMA show,” said Sean Gilpin, Chief Marketing Officer for Hyundai Motor North America. “This concept embodies innovation, customization, and capability — the very essence of SEMA.”

BigTime Collaboration: Where Creativity Meets Capability
For Jeremiah Burton and Zach Jobe, this collaboration represents a fresh take on what electric vehicles can be.
“EVs have come a long way, and putting our off-road spin on the IONIQ 9 is pretty cool,” said Burton. “We believe all cars are cool, and blending off-road elements into the EV world can inspire future adventurers.”
The design of the IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept draws inspiration from BigTime’s own 1977 vintage cabover truck, nicknamed “Bud.” The combination of vintage aesthetics and new technology gives the IONIQ 9 a distinct personality that merges fun, functionality, and forward-thinking design.
BigTime: Redefining Car Culture Through Creativity
BigTime, founded by Burton and Jobe, is a content venture known for its entertaining, informative, and inclusive approach to car culture. Their online platforms reach millions of enthusiasts, and their presence at SEMA highlights the creative energy they bring to vehicle customization.
The IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept will be featured extensively across BigTime’s social media channels, including Instagram, where the duo will share exclusive behind-the-scenes build stories and design insights.
