We already shared with you the very first details of the upcoming KIA EV4, Kia’s long awaited all-electric sedan which will reach production in March 2025. Now our colleagues at Healer TV captured a new prototype of the Model 3’s rival testing in South Korea inside and out.
Prototypes Now Closer to Production
Earlier sightings of the KIA EV4 showcased less camouflaged versions of the prototype, but the tail lights remained heavily disguised. They appeared as temporary fittings, leaving much to speculation about the final design. Recent prototypes, however, are much closer to production-ready, finally showcasing the production light graphics of the rear lamps for the first time.
Updated Rear Light Design
Unlike the initial prototypes, the production-ready KIA EV4 rear lights confirm a departure from the continuous light strip seen on some modern EVs. Instead, the design features a thin red stripe that extends deeply into the tailgate but is distinctly interrupted in the center. This fresh take aligns the EV4’s rear-end aesthetics closer to its sibling, the KIA EV3, creating a cohesive design language across the lineup while maintaining unique elements for the EV4.
A Modern Yet Practical Design
KIA’s approach with the EV4 rear light design reflects a balance between modern minimalism and practicality.
