Kia has officially commenced orders of a new Standard model for its flagship electric SUV, the EV9. The new EV9 Standard version comes with a 76.1 kWh battery pack and This expansion aims to cater to a broader spectrum of customers seeking sustainable mobility solutions.
Introducing the Kia EV9 Standard Model
Designed with urban families in mind, the EV9 Standard model offers a balance of efficiency and affordability. Equipped with a 76.1 kWh battery, it delivers an estimated range of 374 kilometers (based in the Korean certification system) on a single charge, making it well-suited for daily commutes and city driving. Despite its entry-level positioning, the Standard model inherits a suite of advanced safety and convenience features from its Long Range counterpart, ensuring that drivers experience the EV9’s renowned quality without compromise.
Pricing and Availability
The new EV9 Standard model is expected to cost 64.12 million won before government subsidies, equivalent to $44,800 or 42,600 Euro. In the United States, the EV9 lineup starts with the Light RWD model at an MSRP of $54,900. While specific pricing for the Standard model in the U.S. has not been detailed, it’s anticipated to be competitively positioned below the Light Long Range RWD, which is priced at $59,200.
Both US and European customers can expect the Standard model to be introduced following the initial launch in Korea, with pricing details to be announced in due course. As of now, the Standard model is not yet available in the European or US markets.
