Kia has officially unveiled the full specifications and pricing of the all-new Kia Seltos and Seltos Hybrid for the South Korean local market. Since the launch of its first-generation model in 2019, the Kia Seltos has sold over 330,000 units in Korea through 2025, making it the most popular compact SUV in the domestic market. The newly introduced model marks a full second-generation redesign, arriving six years after the original, and features a bolder SUV stance combined with futuristic design. With the addition of a new 1.6 hybrid powertrain, advanced electrification technologies like V2L, and class-leading safety and convenience features, Kia aims to further strengthen its leadership in the compact SUV segment and drive continued market growth.
New Hybrid Lineup and Reinforced K3 Platform
The all-new Kia Seltos is offered with two powertrain options: 1.6 Hybrid and 1.6 Turbocharged Gasoline.
Powertrain Performance and Fuel Economy
The 1.6 hybrid model delivers:
- System output: 141 horsepower
- Maximum torque: 27.0 kgf·m
- Combined fuel efficiency: 19.5 km/L
The 1.6 gasoline turbo model offers:
- Maximum output: 193 horsepower
- Maximum torque: 27.0 kgf·m

The hybrid variant includes advanced technologies such as Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0 and a predictive battery control system for optimized efficiency.

Advanced EV-Style Features
In the hybrid Seltos, Kia introduces EV-inspired features such as:
- Interior V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) with up to 3.52 kW 220V output
- Stay Mode, enabling multiple device usage from the high-voltage battery while parked
The 1.6 turbo AWD models gain selectable Terrain Modes (Snow, Mud, Sand) for enhanced traction control.

The new Seltos includes advanced driver assistance systems previously unavailable in this class, such as:

Built on a reinforced K3 platform, the new Seltos enhances body rigidity by around 20% for improved safety and stability. It offers increased exterior dimensions and expanded interior space, with a panoramic wide display and HUD, as well as Kia-first Vibro Sound Seats.
Cargo capacity reaches 536 liters (VDA), making it one of the most practical compact SUVs.
