Scooped: Kia Working on K2’s (Chinese Rio) Facelift

The Kia K2 is China-only Rio and was launched at the 2011 Guangzhou Auto Show. According to this pictures courtesy from Auto Home, Kia is currently working in light changes for the K2 sedan.

The South Korean hatchback is made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. Engines available are two petrol “Gamma” engines, a 1.4 with 107 hp and a 1.6 123 hp with to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an old 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Price of the hatchback will start around 70.000 yuan. Looking at the pictures, the K2 will include new Kia’s design grille and LED Daytime running lights. Stay tuned!
