Refreshed Veloster Turbo launched in South Korea with 7-speed DCT & 204 hp

Hyundai Motor is set to release a refreshed Veloster with the idea of targeting young consumers in their 20s and 30s. The car maker launched the official sales of “The New Veloster” on January 16 in South Korea.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:5px;”]The new Veloster is mounted with the world’s first engine sound adjustment feature which allows drivers to adjust the level of engine sound. By using the engine sound equalizer, the driver can create his own sound category which can be comprised of six different sounds.

The new Veloster features a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline (T-GDi) and at this time, delivering finally 204 hp (in Europe this engine offers 186 hp) and a seven-speed double clutch transmission (DCT) as we told you two months ago in an exclusive article. New alloy wheels design, speedometer, a new silver trim for the front grille or three color available new sporty seats complete the updates list.

The retail price for South Korea are 19.95 million won (US $18,550) for the Unique model, 20.95 million won (US $19,480) for the PYL model, and 21.55 million won (US $20,040) for the PYL DCT model.
