Kia launched the All-New Carnival minivan few days ago in a media event held in Seoul, but third generation Carnival is taking the market by storm. Pre-orders raced to 5,000 units in just two days after its release last Thursday, eclipsing Kia’s previous record of 3,100 pre-orders for the K7 in 2009.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]As Kia has already achieved its monthly target of 4,000 units for the Carnival it is pursuing aggressive marketing activities such as test-drive events to maintain the sales momentum.
Since it was released as Korea’s first minivan in 1998, the Carnival has been sold 570,000 units in Korea and 890,000 units in overseas markets. The Carnival also made great contributions to normalizing Kia Motors’ finances after the carmaker entered a court receivership after the Asian financial crisis in 1998.
Kia Motors has invested 350 billion won over the past 52 months to develop the All New Carnival.Compared to the previous models, the new Carnival features great improvements in interior and exterior designs, frame structure and stability, space utilization and convenience specs.
