Genesis G70 is now up! We found the Hyundai Azera couple days ago and now its the turn for its luxury cousin. Lets check out the G70!

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]As many of you guys know, Genesis Motors is the luxury brand from the Korean Automaker. In the Roadmap we posted before this model will conclude half of the road map and complete the sedan line up models, the only ones left will the SUV, Crossover and Coupe.

From the sedan lineup, we have the big brother G90 competing with the BMW 7 series and Mercedes S-Class. Next was the G80, previously known as the Hyundai Genesis sedan, in a slightly smaller size. Now we see the G70 prototype out at the road running test, this model should be the competitor for the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.

Not much can be seen from the exterior but there are some few things that have definitely caught our attention. Lets start with the headlights, we can clearly see a new LED design, 2 lines, really close to each other, coming from the inner side of the headlights and once getting closer to the projector opening up and what seems to surround the projector. This design is nothing we have seen before compare to its older brothers or even the New York Concept. Another change is at the fog light, it seems the turn signal is now located down there in which again is something we haven’t seen before.

On the side we can see some of the changes compare to its cousin, Hyundai Grandeur, one clear difference will be the C pillar, the door has a different shape. Ohh and let’s not forget about those big brakes this G70 is sporting. At the taillights we now see a familiar design, and this could be a combination between the G90 and G80 and the exhaust has a single exit but with twin tips.

As far as powertrain we are expecting the new 3.3L twin-turbo engine from the older brothers G90 and the G80 Sport as well as a four-cylinder turbo engine.

When can we expect this new model?  The road map suggested 2017 and everything seems to indicate that they are on track.  Stay tuned for more details!
