Kia will be starting the 2019 model year off with a bang with a new special edition of the Kia Stinger available as early as summer 2018.

The 2019 Kia Stinger GT Atlantica is a fully loaded GT2 AWD model in a color we haven’t seen yet in the United States (besides a few of the pre-production demo models): Deep Chroma Blue. This subtle dark blue color looks almost black in low lighting, but when the light hits it at the proper angle it shows flecks of bright blue.

The interior color will also be unique to the U.S. market: Espresso Brown with nappa leather. We’ve seen the all-brown interior overseas, but not with the nappa leather treatment. Additionally, the headliner will be finished in a suede-like material that gives it an edge over the standard GT2 in terms of overall material quality.

The car will also come with a unique 19” wheel design that hasn’t yet been offered in the US market.

The Atlantica edition Stinger also provides the in-dash wireless phone charging, 360 degree camera system, and heated rear seats that many in the US market have complained about not receiving for the 2018 model year. In addition, a larger “Stinger” badge graces the tailgate of the car in place of the Kia logo that’s generally standard in the United States. There will be “Atlantica” badges on the front fenders as well as on the dashboard.

Only 500 “Atlantica” models will be produced, and they will each feature a numbered badge to identify each of the 500 cars.

Pricing will be announced later, but we would expect a small premium over the standard GT2 AWD model.
