Revealed early this year, the all-new generation Kia Forte (known as K3 onn South Korean local market) has surprised with a more risky & sporty design. A few months ago we have spotted a test mule of the Forte wearing a dual exhaust pipe and now we got an information founded by SHM blogger on Kia’s Online Maintenance Manual.[ads id=”9″]
Following what Kia said at the time of reveal, we were awaiting for a powerful next-gen Kia Forte and according to this firs leaked, we have caught it! Kia will launch a K3 GT with a 1.6 T-GDi engine with a final output to be confirmed.
Looking at the website database documents we can see two gearbox specifications for the same engine, so we can expect a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT transmission.

With a dual muffler and a black painted rear bumper, the Forte on the picture above was spotted parked in a South Korean street wearing test car registration plate (which is the same as the normal south korean car, but the only different of two red stripes crossing it).
Is not confirmed that this model could arribe to US-market as a Forte GT, but its is probably after the arrival of Elantra Sport or Veloster N.
