Nightfall Edition Keeps Telluride Fresh for 2021

For the second model year of the hot-selling Telluride SUV, Kia is making some updates you may want to wait for.
The big news is the Nightfall Edition, which will be available on Telluride EX AWD with Premium Package and all SX AWDmodels as a $1,295 package. This adds some street cred to your ride with gloss black trim replacing all brightwork on the Telluride, including the window surround and lower door trim, skid plates, roof rails, headlight and foglight bezels, and Telluride badges. The Kia badges themselves are tinted, too, and there’s an aggressive new grille design that’s all black and only available on the Nightfall Edition, along with unique 7-spoke 20” black painted wheels with dark chrome lug nuts.
From the information we’ve received, it doesn’t appear that Kia is restricting the Telluride Nightfall Edition to certain exterior or interior color combinations beyond what other EX or SX models follow, but we do know it will be offered in the same Wolf Gray exterior color that we’ve seen on the new K5, and that the Wolf Gray option is only available with a black leather interior. For Telluride, Wolf Gray is exclusive to the Nightfall Edition.

Expect minor trim changes to the rest of the 2021 Telluride lineup. For example, the SX trim will now be available with the Sangria exterior color with either black or gray leather interior, and the formerly SX exclusive Black Copper color will make its way down to EX and S trims. Telluride EX’s Premium Package will also now gain full LED headlights with amber daytime running lamps, previously only available on SX.
For Tellurides with second row Captain’s Chairs, the armrests have been redesigned for added functionality and comfort, and those who opt for the available tow hitch will now find a 7 Pin Trailer Harness as opposed to the 4 Pin version offered before.
All Tellurides will now receive remote engine start through a dedicated button on the remote key fob, and all AWD Tellurides will receive a special heater that increases heating performance throughout the vehicle.
We can also report that pricing for LX, S, and EX models has gone up $100, and SX models are $400 higher. The Nightfall Edition on the SX Prestige Package is likely to push MSRP just over $50,000, the first time a Kia SUV has reached this price point.
