Hyundai Motor Company held the launch event for its premium flagship large SUV, The All-New Palisade, at Maison Ditali in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on Tuesday, January 14. The company announced that customer deliveries would commence on Wednesday, January 15.
The Palisade marks the introduction of the second-generation model after six years, featuring:
- A bold and majestic exterior design with a unique character.
- Spacious interiors optimized for passenger comfort, utilizing its over 5-meter length.
- Configurations for 7-seater and 9-seater models based on a roomy third row.
- The first application of a next-generation hybrid system.
- Advanced safety and convenience features to deliver an exceptional driving experience.
A Record-Breaking Pre-Order Response
The Palisade’s popularity was evident as pre-orders, which began last month, saw over 33,000 units reserved on the first day alone, solidifying its position in the domestic large SUV market.
During the launch event, Hyundai Motor CEO Lee Dong-seok and Yoon Yong-moon, head of Hyundai’s labor union, jointly introduced the new Palisade, signaling a shared commitment to quality and excellence. It was the first time Hyundai’s management and labor union co-hosted a new model launch event.
Lee pledged, “We will do our utmost to ensure customer satisfaction through perfect quality and timely production,” while Yoon added, “We will make every effort to deliver the all-new Palisade as a cherished family vehicle for our customers.”

The Palisade is available with two powertrains:
1. 2.5 Turbo Gasoline Engine

- Maximum torque: 43.0 kgf∙m
- Combined fuel efficiency: 9.7 km/L

- System maximum output: 334 horsepower
- Driving range: Over 1,000 km per refueling (Hyundai internal test data)
