Hyundai Motor Company has officially signaled a bold new chapter in its electrification journey, choosing the stage of Auto China 2026 to launch its dedicated IONIQ brand and unveil the all-new IONIQ V. Positioned as the flagship of Hyundai’s “In China, For China” strategy, the IONIQ V is a production model derived from the VENUS Concept. It introduces the brand’s latest design language, “The Origin,” characterized by a sleek single-curve silhouette, frameless doors, and floating side mirrors designed to slash air resistance.
A Sanctuary of Intelligent Design
The IONIQ V is engineered to be more than a vehicle; it is a “versatile living space.” Boasting a massive 2,900 mm wheelbase, the cabin offers class-leading legroom (1,078 mm in the front and 1,019 mm in the rear), catering to the high standards of Chinese consumers who prioritize interior comfort.
The cockpit is a showcase of high-performance technology, featuring:
- 27-inch 4K Panoramic Display: A seamless interface for infotainment and driving data.
- Smart AI Assistant: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset and a Large Language Model (LLM) for intuitive voice control.
- Immersive Audio: An eight-speaker system with Dolby Atmos as standard.

Performance and Safety
Built for both urban agility and long-distance confidence, the IONIQ V secures a driving range of over 600 kilometers(CLTC standard). Safety is equally prioritized through a collaboration with local tech leader Momenta, integrating advanced driver assistance systems and a reinforced nine-airbag structure.
“Today, we are not just launching a new car; we are expressing our profound respect for the Chinese market,” said Li Fenggang, President at Beijing Hyundai Motor Company. With a “One Price” transparency policy and an expanded charging network, Hyundai is ready to redefine the premium EV ownership experience.
