2026 gv70 launched in korea 2

Genesis, Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand, has officially launched the 2026 GV70 in Korea on October 20. The updated luxury midsize SUV offers enhanced NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance, restructured option packages, and refined design updates reflecting customer feedback.

Improved NVH Performance for a More Refined Drive

The 2026 Genesis GV70 delivers a quieter and smoother ride thanks to upgraded NVH engineering. Genesis has added underbody sound-absorbing material and introduced an engine support damper in the 2.5 Turbo model to minimize vibration transfer into the cabin.

These refinements underline Genesis’ focus on premium comfort and acoustic serenity across its SUV lineup.

Refined Option Packages and Customization Choices

Genesis has reorganized the GV70’s packages to offer customers more flexibility and better value.

Key highlights include:

  • The e-LSD (electronic limited-slip differential), previously included in the 2.5 Turbo 19-inch Sport Package, is now available as an optional upgrade.
  • The Sport Package now features molding materials and colors aligned with the Genesis Black Line.
  • The Standard Design seat trim expands the use of genuine leather.
  • A new interior color joins the lineup — Obsidian Black/Vanilla Beige two-tone with gray stitching, part of the Sport Design Selection II package.

Optimized Package Configurations

Genesis has simplified its popular bundles for easier selection:

  • Popular Package I: Now includes the Head-Up Display and Driving Assistance Package I.
  • Popular Package II: Combines Popular Package I, Driving Assistance Package II, Second-Row Comfort Package, and Built-in Cam Package.

Other adjustments include:

  • Removal of the UV sterilization function from the front console armrest storage in the Convenience Package.
  • Addition of luggage accessories (mat, screen, net) and a rear 220V power outlet to the Second-Row Comfort Package, improving practicality.

Design Upgrades: New “Bering Blue” and Modernized Details

The 2026 GV70 debuts a new exterior color, “Bering Blue,” highlighting the SUV’s blend of sophistication and dynamism.

Other design improvements include:

  • A refreshed rear design featuring standalone GENESIS lettering for a clean, premium appearance.
  • Introduction of a floating wheel cap accessory, which keeps the Genesis emblem level while driving.

The 2026 Genesis GV70 starts at:

  • Gasoline 2.5 Turbo: ₩53.18 million (≈ $38,300 USD / €35,600 EUR)
  • Gasoline 3.5 Turbo: ₩58.60 million (≈ $42,200 USD / €39,300 EUR) (Based on 2WD and 3.5% individual consumption tax.)
