오늘은 팔로워 짐보(Jimbo) 덕분에 2016 기아 스포티지(코드명 QL)의 새로운 스파이샷을 공개한다.
최근 보도에 따르면, 스포티지는 신형 투싼 출시 이후인 9월에 데뷔할 예정이다.
신형 2016 기아 스포티지는 중국 전용 기아 KX3의 디자인, 특히 전면부를 많이 닮을 것이다. 실내는 신형 쏘렌토에서 이미 본 모습을 따를 예정이다. 보도에 따르면, 기아 디자인팀은 이미 스포티지의 디자인을 완료했다.
이 프로토타입의 전면부에서는 신형 쏘렌토나 pro_cee'd GT처럼 새로운 랩어라운드 헤드램프와 아이스큐브 LED 조명 사이에 더 커진 타이거노즈 3D 프론트 그릴이 보인다. 동시에 기아는 K5 모던에도 동일한 솔루션을 적용해 헤드램프에 구형 3-LED를 추가했다. 후면부는 새롭게 디자인된 LED 테일램프가 현행 모델처럼 분리된 후진등과 방향지시등과 결합된다.
엔진 라인업에 대해, 7단 DCT 가 출시 시 제공되며, 가솔린 직분사 및 디젤 엔진, 소형 터보 엔진도 선택 가능하다. 디젤 쪽에서는 개선된 1.7 CRDi 131마력이 유럽 시장에서 가장 선호될 수 있다. 가솔린 엔진의 경우 1.6 GDi가 기본 엔진이며, 터보 변형이 유럽 사양 모델에 더 높은 출력을 제공할 것이다. 완전히 새로운 소형 터보 엔진인 1.2 T-GDi 132마력은 아직 확정되지 않았다.
한국 라인업은 7단 DCT가 적용된 1.7 CRDi 및 2.0 CRDi 디젤 엔진과 2.0 T-GDi 엔진으로 축소된다.

Couldn't agree more. I've been planing to upgrade my new Ceed to either the 2016 Sportage or the new Tucson. I would have loved to stay with KIA. But I'm worried that the new Sportage will be a Porsche knockoff rather than the original and unique SUV that it is today. I'm so glad the new Tucson looks the way it does (mini Santa Fe). Will leave the final decision until I see the next Sportage up close. But I'm not holding my breath.
I would like to know what this Niro prototype is all about. There are rumours about a hybrid chubby Ceed. There is also the possibility of it being a less ugly KX3. C pillar looks like KX3. But I'm hoping its front grill will have a redesign for Europe. We'll find out in a few months.
