Few weeks ago we shared a report from Car&Driver that says that Kia will still thinking in more production closest Track’ster’ inspired two-door Soul. When we launched the article, it had a great success with more than 100 shares in social networks. Then we decided to create this render thanks to our designer Ozzie of how might be a two-door variant of Kia’s boxy.

When Kia launched the Track’ster Concept at the 2012 Chicago Motor Show, I’m pretty sure that you guys dreamed with a two-door Turbo-powered Soul in your own garage. Well, today we want to share with you this render, maybe more look alike to the final production model (if it becomes). You have a comparison between the Track’ster and this render below.

One thing leading to Kia to do, in the U.S., Soul sales numbers lead those of subcompact crossover/wagon competitors such as the Nissan Juke, Mini Countryman, and Fiat 500L by a considerable margin (the Soul was launched in the US-market in 2009, his competitors in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively). The second generation Soul was launched at the 2013 New York AutoShow.

The Kia Soul remains a five-door wagon of boxy and upright appearance, although its edges were softened considerably in the model’s 2014 overhaul. When Kia debut Track’ster’s concept, it comes with a 1.6 Turbo GDi engine delivering 250 hp. Maybe 250 hp is too much, but there are Kia’s like the new Forte family (with the 5-door and the Koup) and european hot hatch pro_cee’d GT (read our first drive) using the same engine, with 204 hp. What do yo think? We’ll wait for your comments!
