The Chicago AutoShow is around the corner, and now we also knew about Kia plans for the show, with its Trail’ster, but anything about Hyundai. But according to the latest reports from Autoblog, Hyundai will showcase a facelift version of the Elantra GT, after the european i30 variant was revealed two months ago.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]After Hyundai decided to kill the Elantra Coupe for the US-market, the South Korean carmaker will focused on turn the Hyundai Elantra GT a more youthful car and differentiate from the Sedan.
For the i30 facelift, Hyundai showcased the hatchback with minor cosmetic touches including the latest hexagonal front grille from Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, different wheels and new colour palette.
In Europe, Hyundai take advantage of include a Turbo variant, with a more sporty look, agressive front and rear bumpers with dual exhaust pipes, interior seats with red accents, and the 1.6-liter T-GDi engine delivering 186 hp. Also, the availability of a new 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. About the powertrain, nothing is confirmed yet by Hyundai.
The report also said that Hyundai will reveal another special edition of its Veloster, like the past year with the Veloster RE:Flex (we don’t understand why Hyundai not introduce the changes we saw recently on the South Korean model). Stay tuned for February 12.
