We were talking about the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe facelift since a few months ago, but now directly from South Korea we will share you the first leaked pictures of the facelifted Santa Fe.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]Looking at the pictures, the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with a new front grille, front and rear redesigned bumpers, fog lights, new alloy wheels, newly graphics for front and rear lights and muffler directly taken by the Tucson and Sonata Turbo models.
Inside, the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe will offer an updated Infotainment systems as well as new trims. The model in the leaked pictures showed a 3.3-l badge that means that is for export.
Currently the Santa Fe short wheel base (called as Sport in the US) are only available in South Korea with a 2.0 and 2.2 diesel engines.

The facelift Santa Fe is expected to be first mass production Hyundai SUV in cooperation with Hyundai WIA (a member of the Hyundai Motor Group and the 2nd biggest automotive parts manufacturer in South Korea) and to be launched this year.
This technology will be named as “e-4WD” and it will be mounted on the rear wheel of the SUVs. The system will transmits the power to the rear wheels only, while the petrol engine will move the front wheels. A regenerative braking system to charge the battery with the energy generated at the time of deceleration will be mounted.
Recently Hyundai Wia was started the final stage of the e-4WD system development scheduled for next year’s production. The system may be mounted on the Hyundai Motor’s main SUV, the Santa Fe. The e-4WD system can be selectively controlled from the interior. Maybe there will also be some upgraded engines when it´s time for a debut later this year.
