It was just a few days ago, when Hyundai finally launched its separated luxury brand, Genesis, but this is not the only brand that Hyundai is working on. Under the N performance brand, Hyundai N will bring us its first dedicated range of sports models.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:5px;”]We were talking about which one will be selected as the first model to be developed under the “N” program. At first, we thought will be the i20, because they recently launched the new i20 WRC based on the latest model. But finally and thanks to this teaser, we have now clear which model is going to release this new sporty brand.
Yeah, will be the i30 or Elantra GT. Any specifications are revealed, not 1.6 T-GDi not 2.0 T-GDi, but probably will be between one of this engines. This will depends on what Hyundai plans to achieve, the current i30 Turbo has 186 hp while the Kia cee’d GT goes up to 204 hp. If Hyundai wants to surprise the segment, the i30 N will need to have at least 250 hp.
According to the video, the i30 N is being developed thanks to the knowledge learned during the World Rally Championship and testing it around Nürburgring. Hyundai said it has 490 turns of development around the Green Hell.
The latest addition to Hyundai has been Albert Bierman, former BMW M chief engineer, who according to US-media has done a great job in the all-new Optima (we still haven’t the opportunity to test drive it) but according to some magazines, the Optima is the first model stand up German rivals in Driving dynamics.
About the i30 N, when it will be revealed? First Quarter 2016.
